You will need enough insurance to cover the cost of rebuilding your home at current construction costs. Market value does not play a part in a home's cost to rebuild under a worst case scenario. Universal Direct calculates property and building construction information such as square footage, number of bathrooms etc. from multiple databases and then uses an advanced replacement cost estimator to determine the appropriate amount of insurance needed for your property.
A replacement cost estimate is used by insurance professionals to determine a property's cost to rebuild. Using information such as square footage, number of bathrooms, etc. will allow an insurance professional to adequately quote your property.
